WEEE Waste

Waste handling equipment for waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)

Keeping you compliant, safe and environmentally friendly.

Each year an estimated 2 million tonnes of electronic items are discarded by households and companies in the UK. By definition a WEEE product is anything that has a plug or a battery, these include:

  • Large household appliances
  • Small household appliances
  • IT and telecommunications equipment
  • Consumer equipment
  • Lighting equipment
  • Electrical and electronic tools
  • Toys, leisure and sports equipment
  • Medical devices (non-infected)
  • Monitoring and control equipment

Due to the complex mix of products and materials, some of which can be hazardous, WEEE recycling poses many health and environmental risks that need to be suitably managed.

The Enviroquip range of WEEE waste handling equipment has been designed and manufactured to do just that, helping you to ensure the safety of the operator, public and the environment.

The WEEE Regulations (2013) sets out the targets for the collection, recovery and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment with the aim of diverting waste electrical equipment from landfill. The legislation places the onus on producers to be responsible for their electronic items when they become waste.

The Enviroquip range of WEEE waste handling equipment helps our clients across the UK to ensure that their WEEE waste products are treated correctly and aids them in meeting their recovery and recycling targets of WEEE waste material.
